Making your big day unique and personal to you is very important when you're planning your wedding. Including a song or poem that means something to you is a perfect way to add a special touch to your celebrations.
You could include a poem as a reading in the ceremony, song lyrics on a sign to decorate your reception or adding the words to your wedding invitations.
Here are some of our favourite Welsh verses and songs to add a special touch to your wedding day:
Priodas - Dic Jones
Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un daith.
(Two hearts, one wish,
two tongues but one language,
two ropes that join connected,
two souls but one journey)
Mi gerddaf gyda thi

Mi gerddaf gyda thi dros lwybrau maith
A blodau can a breuddwyd ar ein taith
I’th lygaid syllaf a dal dy law
Mi gerddaf gyda thi beth bynnag ddaw.
(I will walk with you across distant paths
Flowers and dreams will bless our journey
Into your eyes I will gaze and holding your hand
I will walk with you whatever may come.)
Cofio Dy Wyneb - Mynediad am Ddim / Bryn Fôn
You could use lyrics from a song that has special meaning for you. This is a popular love song sung by Bryn Fôn.
Dwi'n cofio dy wyneb
Yn edrych ar fy ngwyneb
Dy lygaid yn edrych i fy llygaid,
Dy law ar fy ysgwydd
A'th galon ym mhoced cesail fy nghot.
(I remember your face
Looking at my face
Your eyes looking into my eyes,
Your hand on my shoulder
and your heart in my coat pocket.
